Japanese maples have such interesting shapes in their branching. It makes a very attractive winter entrance.

Weather vanes seem to stand out even more in the winter landscape. Here is a simple but highly attractive banner style vane. It sits on top of our cafe.

The golden yuccas keep their color for a long time into winter. They spread effectively to cover a large area.

I love statues in the winter landscape. Placed in the right spot they can really add something special to a dull corner. Like a lot of hardscape they  become much more noticeable in the short winter days.

It's time to start your fall tidy up. We have been very busy already. Weeding, cutting back perennials, manuring and re mulching.

Asters with a little butterfly. We have asters scattered all over the garden center. Some big some small. There are some many excellent varieties to chose from.

Our selection of trough gardens look particularly good with all the evergreens. We give them a little protection in the winter.

The amazing purple leaf euphorbia comes into it's own again in the fall.

This years is a remarkable year for winterberries. They have loved all the moisture and, as a result, are dripping with red berries.

Our first real snowfall. It's amazing just how nice the landscape looks with a little dusting of snow. All the shapes and silhouettes are accentuated in the winter sun.
